A Short History by Denise Wood

The Hillingdon and District branch of the British Sugarcraft guild was started 22 years ago in December 1985 by a wonderful lady called Frances, who together with Sandy,Erna, Rosemary and a loverly lady called Maureen (who remained as treasurer for 10 years)and Jean (who ran the raffle untill just a few years years ago) formed the first committee

The Committee has changed several times over the years with each new member injecting fresh ideas into the club bringing us to the happy friendly group we have today.

Members of all ages and abilities have been encouraged to take part in exhibitions which have proved to be great fun and very rewarding with everyone sharing their knowledge and skills.

We have been on many outings to to various venues throughout the country, not only to Sugarcraft events but also to social events such as meals out and the Theater.

Our meetings are held every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7/30pm when demonstrations are given by profesional demonstrators who come from all over the country and by our own  members who are willing to share their Knowledge ideas and experiences with each other.

I look forward to seeing you

Denise Wood
